Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar area and outside. They must be kept on leads at all times and must not sit on any furniture, even on a blanket (it’s not fair for other guests who may have allergies). As we have livestock on site, they must be kept under control at all times, you may notice our farm dogs roaming freely.

Our mission is to increase our environmental sustainability for not only today but for years to come. We endeavour to carry out best practices & methods within our pubs / businesses by reducing our waste, water & energy. We will reduce our food miles by either sourcing direct from local ethical growers & farmers or growing as much as we can ourselves on our small holding. We are committed to recycling & upcycling as much as possible, our aim is to partner with likeminded sustainable companies to protect the planet & save the environment for future generations.

We are a cashless business, we do not accept cash.

Join us for a magical morning at The Cow & Plough with our Breakfast with Santa!

Treat yourself to a delicious hot breakfast or continental breakfast with a hot drink while your little ones indulge in a mouth-watering breakfast with milk. As you enjoy your meal, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way around the restaurant, stopping at each table to chat with the children and take photos. And the best part? Each child will receive a small gift from Santa himself! To top it all off, Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead a fun-filled sing-along for everyone to enjoy.

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience for the whole family!

Kitchen Garden

We have just over an acre of kitchen garden where we grow heritage varieties of salads, tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, numerous herbs, edible flowers and much more to supply our chefs for use on our menu. We believe in sustainable business practices and our garden allows us to use fresher ingredients while also reducing food miles, it’s the best of both.

Stoughton Grange Farm Shop

We have recently opened the Stoughton Grange Farm Shop, offering the finest, freshest local and quality produce alongside our own homegrown fare. Sourced from marvellous, passionate suppliers, producers and creators who all share our values when it comes to quality.

At Stoughton Grange, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and preserving the environment. To achieve our goal, we have adopted some unique practices that transport us to a century ago. Here’s what we do:
  • We have created a kitchen garden and grow as much fruit and vegetables as we can. About 10% of our annual usage comes from the restaurant.
  • We avoid using blueberries or avocados and recycle our food waste into compost for our garden.
  • We purchase from local producers to minimise food miles and reduce our carbon footprint.
  • We harvest rainwater from our roofs and are fitting them with solar panels to promote renewable energy.
  • Our efforts have earned us a 2-star rating from the food made good accreditation scheme, which encourages sustainability practices such as smaller portion sizes, more vegetable dishes, better quality meat with provenance, fair pay for team members, and community support.
We are proud to say that our business is making a positive impact on the planet while providing our customers with delicious, sustainable food.
